Introduction

Hi! My name is Cheryl. I live in Halethorpe, Md. and I am new to the area. I work in DC and I am a committed commuter... ha ha. (What are ya gonna do....it is what it is...right?) I love to take photos and to meet like-minded others. TTYSoon!!!

What kinds of things do you like to shoot?

I like to shoot reflections and to create abstract art from shapes and forms and lines and color etc. I also love to shoot (yikes...I mean photograph) people! I like the ambience of black and white photography. I like to use the principles of Design (took some college courses in it) and do all kinds of things with them while I shoot what may at first seem mundane...but is actually really quite the opposite. I look for that element of surprise.

How would you describe your level of expertise?

I am a well-practised novice- specializing in film and digital point and shoot (my camera...lol...mostly.) I have a Nikon DSLR and am learning how to use the settings with PhotoTourDC and on my own. I am no expert on the equipment but I am an artist and I have a good eye for the composition and communication of ideas.

What are you shooting with?

Nikon- DSLR- forgot what number it is. I am at work and will update this later when I look at the camera again. My friend gave it to me.

I had a great portfolio on Facebook but I took it off of there when I decided to do less on Facebook. I will do this later also.
